Started in 1940 bi-annually alternating with "Oor Wullie" and still running...
(No annual was issued for 1944 and 1946 due to paper shortage during the war).
Please note that as with most annuals, the publication date within (copyright date) was the year before they were for, so all the Broons annuals
are copyrighted with the odd numbered years for the even numbered years as shown below.
Following the 80th anniversary in 2016, both The Broons and Oor Wullie annuals were issued for 2017, breaking with the
alternating bi-annual publication until then.
