180 and 181 showed a change in the title banner, with the word 'Mickey'
getting progressively bigger than the word 'Donald'. Then from No 182,
the title changed to "Mickey and Donald" and over these remaining
7 issues, the word 'Mickey' got progressively bigger again. This was
the clue for readers of what was to come : the only time in comic history
(to my knowledge) that a comic split into two comics (the norm was for
comics to incorporate each other). "Donald Duck" comic went
on sale on Thursday 18 September 1975 (at the same time as No 184 of
"Mickey and Donald" - see the advert
from back page of No 184). Four issues later, the comic was renamed
and relaunched from No 1 as "Mickey Mouse" - see the advert
from page 3 of No 188.
