Conchy
is a comic strip about beachcombers on a faraway island written by James
Childress between 1970 and 1977. Sadly the author took his own life in
1977 and the comic strip was dropped. Up until recently, I believed there
to be only three books (two published by Tempo Books and one published
by Aladdin Web Offset Inc in 1972). I have since acquired a fourth 24-page
book published by James Childress himself, largely to promote the comic
strip for syndication - I imagine this book is very rare. Included below
is the intro page from this book showing a picture of James and his covering
note to prosepective syndicators. If anyone has any further information,
