For Better or For Worse by Lynn Johnston started (as far as I am aware) in 1981, published by Andrews and McMeel. The entire series was produced in the new square size paperback that seems to dominate the comic strip book format in recent years. Tor books by contrast published their series in the traditional size paperback during the 1990s. The unusual thing about this strip is the fact that the characters actually age over the years, unlike others where characters remain the same for decades. Before the first of these books was a collection of cartoons by Lynn Johnston called 'Do They Ever Grow Up?' about the 'terrible twos and beyond', published by Musson Books in 1981.

I do not have all the books so there may be images missing (was there one in 1989 for example?) - if anyone can help with this, please email me.

Many thanks to Sjaak Bakker for the image of "The Big 5-0"
Also thanks to Mark Bishop for image contribution
