Bill
and Ben first appeared on television in 'The Flowerpot Men', a puppet-series
featured as part of the BBC's 'Watch With Mother' television series
and comprised of twenty-six episodes from 1952 to 1953. The programme
was revived for the modern generation as an animated series 'Bill and
Ben' for two seasons of twenty-six episodes each from 2001 to 2002.
BBC Books published a number of paperback books of the later series.
From the original series there were the Flowerpot
Men (and Woodentops) annuals and several books.
