Grantchester
is an ITV detective drama, set in the 1950s Cambridgeshire village of
the same name based on the Grantchester Mysteries books by James Runcie
(List at end of gallery). The series started in
2014 and has run for seven seasons to the present. The series first
featured Anglican vicar Sidney Chambers (played by James Norton) for
the first four seasons, and subsequently vicar William Davenport (played
by Tom Brittney) from season five onwards. The first two books were
re-published with TV tie-in covers.
