Ivor
the Engine was a black & white BBC children's TV series that first
ran for six episodes followed by two seasons of thirteen spisodes each
in 1959. The series was revived in colour from 1975 to 1977 for forty
episodes, twenty six of which were colour re-makes of the two earlier
thirteen-part black and white seasons. The first six episodes were never
re-made in colour. Only six novelisations have ever been published,
first by Collins Picture Lions and then reprinted by other publishers.
