The Muppet Show was a puppet/live action sketch TV series that started out as two pilot episodes in 1974 and 1975 in the US and then made by ATV for ITV in the UK for five seasons running from 1976 to 1981. It was the start of a massive franchise created by Jim Henson that included... 'Muppet Babies' (animated eight seasons from 1984 to 1991), 'Muppets Tonight' (two seasons from 1996 to 1998), 'The Muppets' (two seasons from 2015 to 2016), 'Muppet Babies' (three seasons by Disney 2018 to 2022), 'Muppets Now' (one seaon of six episodes for Disney+ in 2020) and 'The Muppets Mayhem' (one season of ten episodes for Disney+ in 2023). There were a few other series and a plethora of movies... 'The Muppet Movie' (1979), 'The Great Muppet Caper' (1981), 'The Muppets Take Manhattan' (1984), 'The Muppet Christmas Carol' (1992), 'Muppet Treasure Island' (1996), 'Muppets From Space' (1999), 'The Muppets' (2011) and 'Muppets Most Wanted' (2014).
