The
Paper Chase was a US TV series from 1979 set in a Law School, starring
John Houseman as the wonderfully droll Professor Kingsfield.
This TV series followed a movie which also starred John Houseman in
the same role, the movie being based on John Jay Osborn's original book
published in 1971. The series was revived as "The Paper Chase :
The Second Year" in 1983 and again as "The Paper Chase : The
Third Year" in 1985. John Houseman also played Professor Kingsfield
in episode 6 of the TV series "The Associates" in 1979. I
have only the one original novel by Osborn in my collection with the
TV series cover (pictured below). This was also published by Popular
Library Books in the US.
