Postman Pat was a British stop-motion animated children's television series that ran for eight seasons from 1981 to 2017. The first season of thirteen episodes from 1981 was followed by a second season of thirteen episodes in 1997, followed by seasons three (2004, 26 episodes), four (2006, 26 episodes), five (2007, 28 episodes), six (2008, 26 episodes), seven (2013, 26 episodes) and eight (2016 - 2017, 26 episodes). There were also twelve television specials that ran from 1990 to 2006.
