Vera
was an ITV crime drama television series that ran for fourteen seasons
from 2011 to 2025. The series starring Brenda Blethyn as Detective Chief
Inspector Vera Stanhope is based upon the Vera Stanhope series of novels
by Ann Cleeves (list at bottom of gallery). Four
books were published with full TV-themed covers by Pan Books in 2011.
The full set of novels were re-published from 2016 with an inset photo
from the series.
