The
Virginian (known as The Men From Shiloh in its final year) was an American
Western television series starring James Drury and Doug McClure which
ran for nine seasons from 1962 to 1971. The series was set in the late
nineteenth century and was loosely based on the 1902 novel by Owen Wister.
To my knowledge there has been no TV-themed cover of the original novel
but one book was published by Lancer Books in 1971 coinciding with the
final (renamed) season. If anyone has further information and/or images,
