From
the 50th anniversary onwards, there have been a number of book 'collections'
following a theme, starting with the 50th anniversary collection in
2013 (11 books), the eBooks collection released during 2013 (and one
in 2014) made into paperbacks and compendiums during 2014, and the 'Monster
Collection' released in 2014. In 2015 was 'The History Collection' (8
books) and the 2013/2014 eBook series titled 'Time Trips' released as
a compendium hardback in March 2015

50th
Anniversary (1963 - 2013) Novels

To celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who, BBC Books published a numbered
set of eleven books, ten from their novels range and one novelisation
(7th Doctor - Remembrance of the Daleks). Each book featured a story
from each of the eleven Doctors to that date.

11 Doctors, 11 Stories / 12 Doctors, 12 Stories

During
2013 there were eleven eBooks released, one per month, of new original
stories for each of the eleven Doctors. A Twelfth eBook was released
in October 2014 featuring the twelfth Doctor to complete the set. These
eBooks were published as paperback compendiums, the first eleven in
November 2013 and then the full twelve in November 2014. In addition
each of the twelve eBooks were published as a paperback minibook boxed
set in November 2014. In 2019 the 12 stories were re-published yet again
with a 13th Doctor story in the book 'Thirteen Doctors, 13 Stories'.

2015 BBC Books published 'Time Lord Fairy Tales' book comprising of
fifteen short stories. In 2016 a boxed set of each of the stories was
issued featuring sixteen small hardback books including one extra story,
"The Emperor Dalek's New Clothes".
