of the Universe was a children's toy franchise from Mattel upon which
Filmation based their cartoons 'He-Man and the Master of the Universe'
TV series, 'She-Ra and He-Man : The Secret of the Sword' movie and 'She-Ra
Princess of Power' TV series.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was an animated series that ran
for two seasons of sixty-five episodes each from 1983 to 1985. Ladybird
Books published eight He-Man books in hardback and one adventure game
book.

She-Ra
Princess of Power was a spin-off from He-Man and the Masters of the
Universe that ran for two seasons comprising ninety-three episodes in
total from 1985 to 1987. The character of She-Ra was introduced in the
1985 movie 'She-Ra and He-Man : The Secret of the Sword' before the
TV series was broadcast. Ladybird Books published a novelisation of
the movie and six She-Ra books in hardback.
