The
Orville is a comedy Sci Fi series written by and starring Seth MacFarlane
inspired by the various Star Trek series. The series has run for two seasons
from 2017 to date with a third in the making. I do not know of any novels
from this series, but there was a reference book called 'The World of
The Orville' published by Titan Books in 2018, Dark Horse are producing
a series of graphic novels, the first of which is shown below.
