Titan
won the licence to produce new Doctor Who comics. Three series of comics
were announced... 'New Adventures with the Tenth Doctor' and
'New Adventures with the Eleventh Doctor' issued in July 2014
(dated August 2014), and 'New Adventures with the Twelfth Doctor'
issued in October 2014 (dated November 2014), all running alongside
each other. To my dismay Titan continued the expensive (to collectors)
practice of multiple covers for every issue and have not only issued
several covers for each comic, but allowed multiple 'exclusive' editions
on top of that. There are 116 covers to collect for just the
first three comics No 1 issues, two of which were un-publicised.

A new series of comics for the 15th Doctor commenced in June/July 2024 A one-off special was issued in May 2024 for 'Free Comic Book Day' A one-off special was released in October 2023 (as a hardback) with 2 comics exclusive to Forbidden Planet for December 2023 called 'Once Upon a Time Lord' A new mini-series was launched for August 2023 as part of the 60th anniversary celebrations called "Doom's Day" A new series of Doctor Who Comic subtitled 'Origins' was launched in July 2022 A new series of Doctor Who Comic subtitled 'Empire of the Wolf' was launched in December 2021 A new series of Doctor Who Comic subtitled 'Missy' was launched for May 2021 A new series of an ongoing Doctor Who Comic was announced for release in November 2020 A new mini-series 'Time Lord Victorious' was launched in September 2020 The 13th Doctor Year 2 comic was suspended after Issue 4 (May 2020) due to the Covid Crisis There was no Free Comic Book Day in 2020 due to the Covid Crisis A one-off special was issued in May 2019 for 'Free Comic Book Day' A new ongoing series of 'The Thirteenth Doctor' was launched in October 2018 A new mini-series 'The Road to the Thirteenth Doctor' was published for August 2018. A three-part mini-series was launched for July 2018 : 'Doctor Who The Seventh Doctor'. A one-off special was issued in May 2018 for 'Free Comic Book Day'. In September 2017 a B&N Special was published, unannounced, featuring two stories, one for the 12th Doctor and one for the 10th Doctor. An eight part mini-series was launched for September 2017 called 'The Lost Dimension' which crossovers with the current 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Doctor series. A one-off special was issued in May 2017 for 'Free Comic Book Day' also titled 'Four Doctors' A four part mini-series was launched for May 2017 as a sequel series to the 2016 Christmas Day special titled 'Ghost Stories'. A five-part mini-series was launched for October 2016: 'New Adventures with the Third Doctor' A new ongoing series of Torchwood comic was launched for August 2016 (previously a six-part mini-series in 2010). There was an SDCC 2016 exclusive comic titled "The Long Con" published in July 2016 with two covers. A five-part mini-series started in July 2016 : 'Supremacy of the Cybermen'. A one-off special was issued in May 2016 for 'Free Comic Book Day' titled 'Four Doctors' 'New Adventures with the Ninth Doctor' was launched in April/May 2016 as a regular ongoing series of comics. A five-part mini-series started in April 2016: 'New Adventures with the Fourth Doctor'. A new ongoing UK series reprinting US editions started in January 2016 : 'Tales From the Tardis'. A five-part mini-series started in October 2015 : 'New Adventures with the Eighth Doctor'. A five-part mini-series titled 'Four Doctors' was issued during August/September 2015. There was an SDCC 2015 exclusive comic titled "Selfie : A San Diego Story" published in July 2015 with two covers. A one-off special was issued in May 2015 for 'Free Comic Book Day' titled 'Three Doctors' Titan have issued a UK Comic featuring all three Doctors, reprinting stories from the US comics. A mini-series of five comics was started in March/April 2015 : 'New Adventures with the Ninth Doctor'. |
