The
Wizard of Id (and BC) were very popular in Australia, where large soft-cover
magazine size books were produced, reproducing strips as published in
Australian newspapers. The publishers that produced these books were The
Australian (1968), Ibis (from 1969 to 1975), Beaumont (from 1976 to 1984)
and Capricorn (from 1985 to 1986). In
addition, Budget Books produced a series of standard size and long landscape
size books in 1987.
Below is a Gallery of all known Australian Wizard of Id books in order of publication. Grateful thanks to Ray Schroeder for images of Nos 1 and 3. = In My Collection / = Not in My Collection |
