Grange
Hill was a long-running children's drama that ran for thirty-one seasons
from 1978 to 2008. Many of the child actors went on to star in the soap
Eastenders. The first book published was
a larger format paperback from BBC Books. There followed a series of
six novels from Lions Books (an imprint of Fontana Books) and then a
series of seven novels from Magnet Books (an imprint of Methuen Books).
There was one spin-off series called Tucker's
Luck based around the early Grange Hill character Tucker Jenkins,
played by Todd Carty (later the character of Mark Fowler in Eastenders
and then in The Bill).
