When
the Boat Comes In was a BBC TV series that ran for four seasons from
1976 to 1981. The series was based on the three books by James Mitchell
(author of the Callan series)
which were published first in hardback by Hamish Hamilton Books, then
in paperback by Sphere Books (Nos 1 and 3) and Corgi Books (No 2).
