8th Doctor : Paul McGann (1997) Books Only
Virgin Books final "New Adventures" Book with the Doctor was published in 1997 (61st book in the series) and featured the 8th Doctor. 8th Doctor stories continued thereafter in the BBC Books "Continuing Adventures" series. As Virgin Books no longer had the licence to produce Dr Who material, they continued the "New Adventures" series of books without the Doctor and starring their creation of Professor Bernice Summerfield, companion of the 7th Doctor throughout much of the "New Adventures" range.
