Star
Trek the Original Series ran for three seasons from 1966 to 1969 and became
one of the most famous of TV Sci-Fi Programmes alongside the BBC's Dr
Who. Both series have seen the largest number of original novels of
ALL TV series ever, and these books are still actively being produced
today. All but two of the TV episodes of the original series were novelised
as numbered books (1 - 12) by James Blish (and No 12 with J A Lawrence
due to the death of James Blish). The remaining two episodes ("I,
Mudd" and "Mudd's Women") were novelised in the book "Mudd's
Angels" by J A Lawrence (see Page
2).
The numbered series has been reprinted several times over the years, both in the US and the UK. As there have been so many Star Trek books, the gallery is split into several pages. This first page covers all the novelisations and their varying covers from the 60s to the 70s, including the "Fotonovels" issued in 1977/78. To see these books cover variations ordered together, go to Page 1a, and as published in other countries, go to Page 1b. = In My Collection / = Not in My Collection |

Later
reprints of the first 9 books in this cover design, in addition to bringing
No 1 into line with the rest and the different cover for No 2, all showed
the number as a much smaller font, thus matching up with the last three
books originally released.

In
1985, Bantam re-published 'Star Trek 11' under the title "Day
of the Dove" which was one of the episodes featured in the book,
and also 'Star Trek 12' in the same style cover but without a title
alteration. Both books are in the same style as the 16 original novels
third cover variation (see Page 2). To
my knowledge, none of the other ten books were reprinted in this way.

In
1991, Bantam Books issued these three 1½ inch thick compendiums
of all the novelisations, rearranged into the three seasons, celebrating
the 25th anniversary of Star Trek.
